May 17-23 Conversations While Whittling: An Exhibition of a Cajun Family's Artworks curated by Jessica Pleyel
The Pleyel family consists of hunters, farmers and fishers. These positions came out of necessity—as a poor family living on the bayous of New Orleans, these roles were important for survival. Interestingly, they also were fabricators, artists and creators. Conversations While Whittling documents and displays the artwork of the Pleyel family.
