Craft House is a dynamic space of approximately 300 square feet and 50 linear feet of wall space including two 8 x 8 ft. moveable walls and large storefront-style windows. The Windows showcase new artists every month. Our Occupancy Opportunities provide a temporary studio, pop-up shop venue, or exhibition space. The Kitchen Gallery contains contemporary work for sale by our favorite artists. We're open Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, or by appointment. A site-specific installation defined by place, CH030715-3 explores how individual perception creates meaning within the shared conventions of our world by re-coding a structure with visual language that is personally derived within a framework of established design.

The Pleyel family consists of hunters, farmers and fishers. These positions came out of necessity—as a poor family living on the bayous of New Orleans, these roles were important for survival. Interestingly, they also were fabricators, artists and creators. Conversations While Whittling documents and displays the artwork of the Pleyel family.
